Solo Exhibition-Lime & Tangerine in a Wormhole
Velocity of Time recalls, gathers, and orchestrates a compilation of Japanese advertisement clips from the artist’s childhood memories in the 1980s and ’90s—a period when Japanese culture held strong influence in Hong Kong. Presented as a double-channel installation, the work features both a fast and a slow version of the video, each modified from the original footage. The juxtaposition of these two versions evokes a romanticized interpretation of general relativity: as personal perception of time becomes distorted near a wormhole, one is invited to glimpse into it and experience what eternity might look like.
