The moving image was inspired by the fireplace (Yule log) and fish tank (teleFishion) programmes broadcasting during midnight. When the programme is on the TV, it symbolised a midnight wakefulness. The flickering motion in the gif generates a tranquil state of consciousness. It was made in alpha waves, a frequency between 8.0-- 13.0 Hz. In such waves, our brain will reflects an idle function in the awake condition, as well as amplifies dowsing, empty-mind states, detachment and daydreams. The never ending motion adding an eerily captivating element to it. And it draws you in again and again, preserving the moment for what feels like forever.
