Turbulence Field / 2025
Solo Exhibition - Fabric of Belonging. Installation ViewTurbulence Field depicts a black hole warping space-time, featuring a mobile element with a falcon feather. This dynamic feather serves as a captivating focal point, designed to spin and rotate in response to the airflow generated by passing viewers. Its kinetic movement evokes the image of an unstable compass, drawing a parallel to the electromagnetic fields that guide birds during their migratory journeys. As birds travel to the southern hemisphere in winter, they rely on these invisible forces to navigate vast distances.
This avian metaphor, embodied in the mobile, invites viewers to reflect on the themes of lost direction and instability caused by unpredictable currents. The spinning feather becomes a tangible symbol of the unseen forces shaping migration, encouraging deeper contemplation of the complex emotions tied to human displacement and relocation.
