Turbulence Field / 2025

Solo Exhibition - Fabric of Belonging. Installation View

Turbulence Field representing a black hole warping space-time with  a mobile element featuring a Falcon feather. The dynamic Falcon feather serves as a mesmerising focal point, as it is designed to spin and rotate in response to the flow of air currents generated by the audience passing by. This kinetic movement evokes the image of an unstable compass, drawing an analogy to the electromagnetic fields that are essential for the migratory navigation of birds. As they journey to the southern hemisphere during the winter months, birds rely on these invisible forces to guide their passage across vast distances.

This avian metaphor interpreted as a mobile encourages the viewer to contemplate the loss of direction and instability according to unstable currents. The spinning feather becomes a tangible representation of the invisible forces that shape migration, inviting deeper reflection on the complex emotions of human displacement and relocation.
