Tri-Hexagon Antennae / 2022
Solo Exhibition-Lime & Tangerine in a Wormhole
Comprising two sets of copper-rod assemblages
installed on walls, Tri-hexagon Antennae has a
compelling shape that appears akin to the metal
antennae of fictional, futuristic AI insects. In each set, three rods form a triangular arrangement, with a small hexagonal plate attached to the tail of
each rod, creating a meticulous geometric pattern. Referencing the shape of NASA's James Webb Space
Telescope’s mirror, the work, with its subtle patina texture, is
reminiscent of an astronautic relic, or perhaps even a
message transmitter that sends alien voices from the
universe overhead.
