Star Dust I / 2022
Carefully placed on a dune of black aquarium sand, three bone-white spiky objects bring to mind stars fallen from the sky. They are "stellar objects"—a phrase coined by Tap Chan to describe the starlike sculptures she crafted in Stardust I. Drawing inspiration from an illustration of the apocalypse in a 15th- century book, Chan reimagines and renders the appearance of stars in a playful and poetic manner.
