REM ∞ is a kinetic sculpture, painted with ambiguous scraping of colours on a pole wrapped with classic 1980s home wallpaper. It evokes an impression of the dream clusters that occur during R.E.M sleep, a rapid eye movement during intervals of sleep. The onset of vivid dreams projected into the brain via a diversity of neural pathways, crossing the half-conscious mind, and cast a memory in our brain. Then another dream cycle begins.
