Distant Worlds / 2022
Solo Exhibition-Lime & Tangerine in a Wormhole
In Distant Worlds features an identical pair of tunnel-shaped structures surrounded by black, starlike objects scattered around, forming two emblematic portals that connect imaginary realms. Casting curious shadows on the floor, the work references and visualizes the embedding diagram of a wormhole. The meticulous application of silver foil onto the stainless steel structure evokes the ritual of applying gold leaf to Buddhas, lending the piece a sacred quality while imparting a galactic appearance. Experiencing this work invites contemplation of parallel universe theories in both fiction and science, guiding viewers on a spiritual journey through invisible and infinite worlds across space–time.
